Managing you

I used to attend meetings with the team of the business I wanted to have as a client.

I did not just attend 1 meeting and get my brain sucked dry — I attended 3.

What’s more? I wrote a really nice proposal.

You see, when you’re asked for a proposal, it’s the client’s way of saying “Spend your time to evaluate my marketing process and send me your plan to improve it.”

What a silly thing to do. To spend 1-2 weeks, evaluating their business and online marketing process, then send over a game plan to grow leads and revenue.

THAT, my friend, is not a proposal. That’s a marketing strategy and plan — which I gave away freely because I didn’t value my own time.

Eventually, I learned to be smarter.

Now when someone is interested in collaborating, we begin with a 60 minute session. The session is very beneficial because we go over their goals, priorities and agree on a move forward plan to make progress towards what they want to accomplish.

The fee is paid in advance of the call, it’s self-serve, and they receive a unique link to join the call after they’ve booked a session.

That means there’s no back and forth scheduling. There’s no “chasing”.

You want help. You buy a consult. We work on your business. Very, very simple.

I tell you all this because a business process doesn't have to be complicated.

What it does need to be is to free you up from doing the stupid things in your business that really isn't your best interest.

SO: what are you dealing with this week that's not a good use of your time? That sucks your energy dry?

Create a process for it, then outsource and delegate the process so you can focus on what you do best.
